Usually the artworks and the artist talks about them are quite separate things – art and discourse on art. In this presentation works interfere with the way of delivering their own presentation, creating a strange auto-referential loop. In a performative recapitulation of motivations, ideas and aesthetics behind them, works and practices are actualized in the body instead of as slides on a screen – an embodied, personal art history, with collective extensions. The art talk situation is performatively used for figuring out in real time, in front of the audience, the story of an art past, looking for the problems that made certain works necessary, and for the ones that might prefigure a possible next step if not some future.
